Seasonal Commentary

Visions followed on very soon after The Abyss. No Man's Sky has always taken a lot of inspiration from the traditional sci-fi we love, but it's important to us to keep things unique and weird. Players were asking for more places to explore, so we used Visions as a reason to add weirder planets, weirder creatures, and increase variety. It was here that we first introduced a system of being able to bury objects for players to excavate with the terrain manipulator - salvageable scrap and ancient bones - a mechanic people really loved that we later expanded on.
