Seasonal Commentary

After NEXT, we wanted to try a more regular rhythm of smaller releases before the next huge named update. We surveyed the community to get a sense of what players wanted most, and planned out an "underwater update", which became The Abyss, a "biomes update", which became Visions, and an "exocraft update"... ...which introduced the Pilgrim exocraft, exocraft customisation, techs, and other improvements... and which we quietly blogged about under the unassuming title Development Update 5. At this point we were still trying to figure out whether to do yearly huge updates or more regular, smaller ones.
