Insert slug in nose

I raise a slug to my nose. The trader looks highly alarmed, but before they can intervene the slug bites flesh from my nose. The pain is extreme.

Insert slug in ear

I place the slug gently into my ear. I shiver as I feel it slip inside, wriggling as it burrows deep into my skull. After a moment, the sensation passes. I feel better versed in the language of the traders.

Insert slug in mouth

I steel myself. Wanting it over quickly, I raise the slug to my mouth and swallow in one swift movement. The trader blinks in surprise, then gestures dramatically. I feel the mollusc thrashing around my stomach. The sensation is alarming but not painful. Gradually, it subsides. Nothing else seems to happen.
