Our updates often come together like this. One person had made a ship with holographic sails - the Solar ship. A programmer had gotten cloth physics working, perhaps now we could have flowing capes? Another artist was making a cool underworld themed space station...
We were aware that some players really liked to engage with the space piracy fantasy. Capes? Sail ships? Underground space station? What if we made a pirate focused update? And so Outlaws was born!
This idea unlocked so much creativity in the team, with tons of new content and gameplay.
